Veritas Educational Trust is a Church of England Multi Academy Trust and was formed in June 2017.
The history behind the formation of the Trust originates from Bishop Ramsey Church of England School converting to academy status in September 2011 as a consequence of entering into a Funding Agreement with the Secretary of State and as such became a limited company named ‘Bishop Ramsey Church of England School’ (the Company) governed by Articles of Association.
On 29th July 2016 a variation to this agreement was signed by both the Secretary of State and the Company to enter into a Master Funding Agreement with the intention for the Company to establish and maintain, and to carry on or provide for the carrying on of, a number of academies i.e. Bishop Ramsey Church of England School converted from a single academy trust to a multi academy trust and changed its name to ‘Bishop Ramsey Church of England Academies Trust’. In June 2017 the name of the Trust was changed to 'Veritas Educational Trust' (herein referred to as the ‘Trust’).
At present the Trust consists of one Academy, Bishop Ramsey Church of England School.
